MEET THE TEAM
Stephanie
OWNER
Stephanie has been doing nails since 2008. She attended a vocational program during high school for cosmetology and has been in the field since, getting certified in several prestige brands and techniques specializing in hand painted art and sculpted acrylic sets. When she’s not trying to paint something spooky or other challenging art on your nails, she enjoys family time with her husband Justin and children Adriyana and Malcolm, likely hitting up one of the local museums or parks she has memberships to, jamming to the same emo bands she’s listened to since she was a teen en route.
Analise
NAIL ARTIST
Before moving here in 2014, Analise lived in Texas for 15 years. She started at Obsidian in 2019 directly after graduating from Bella Capelli in Robinson and has doing nails for 5 years now, specializing in abstract, layering, texture, and contemporary art. Analise and her boyfriend have a dog named Kona that accompanies her to work everyday and cat named Piper that enjoys her alone time at home. During her free time, she likes to hike, travel, attend hockey games and concerts, collect plants, and dabble in oil painting.
Lizzy
NAIL ARTIST
Lizzy graduated from Steel Center for cosmetology in 2017 and has been with Obsidian since 2019. She specializes in Gelousy manicures and Gel-X sets and her favorite type of designs to do are cute, fun and bright! When Lizzy isn’t at the salon, she’s usually spending time with her fiancé Adam and her two horses, Dakota and Renie.
Laura
NAIL ARTIST
Laura graduated nail school at South Hills Beauty Academy and was hired at Obsidian right before the world shut down in 2020. She utilized her time at home to practice her skills, where she fell in love with long neon sculpted sets and two handed manis. When she’s not in the salon, she likes to stay active and is likely either taking her daughter Skye to Kennywood or staying in and sketching.
Haley
NAIL ARTIST
Haley was a client of Obsidian during high school and wanted to be on the other side of the table. She graduated from Douglas Education Center’s nail program in early 2023 and has fallen in love with doing nails ever since. Her favorite service to do is Gel-X with bright colors and abstract designs. When she’s not in the studio, Haley is most likely getting tattoos or going on fun adventures with friends and spending time with family.
Jesse
NAIL ARTIST
Jesse has had a passion for art all her life. She’s been in the industry for over a decade and loves to try new things. She has mastered several different styles favoring abstract and watercolor, but is always looking out for fun trends. Jesse likes to slow down in her personal time with yoga and gardening or simply being outdoors hiking with her kids.
Alexa
NAIL ARTIST
Alexa has been doing nails since 2019 and loves doing intricate nail art, specializing in characters and portraits. While she’s made a career of art, she also carries it into her free time and enjoys drawing at home as well as collecting antique baby dolls.
Kayla
SALON SUPPORT
Kayla graduated South Hills Beauty Academy in early 2021 as an esthetician. She spent a few years as a waxer before becoming salon support for Obsidian, where she’s been a client for many years. When Kayla is not in the studio greeting clients and making sure the salon runs smoothly for everyone, she enjoys family time and taking her kids on fun camping trips or day trips around the city.
